The URV is equipped with advanced systems for inspection, monitoring, and scenario mapping. These features are intended to assist in identifying potential safety issues. Real-time monitoring capabilities include people and object detection systems, which provide continuous oversight of the railway environment.

The vehicle is also designed to conduct inspections in areas deemed hazardous for human intervention. Additionally, it can serve as a transport platform for specialized equipment, such as rovers and mechanical arms, allowing for precise and secure operations in challenging environments.
