The first commercial train will depart from Beograd Centar station and head to Subotica at a speed of 200 km/h.

Passenger services on the completed Belgrade–Subotica high-speed railway are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, 8 October 2025, at 12:00.

This follows the issuance of use permits for the final section of the line between Novi Sad and Subotica, enabling the launch of full operations on the 200 km/h corridor on Infrastruktura železnice Srbije.

The completion of this final section means the operational start of high-speed services along the entire Belgrade–Subotica corridor. The first segment, between Belgrade and Novi Sad, has been in passenger use since 2022. Over the past three and a half years, around 12.5 million passengers have travelled on this section, with approximately 6.1 million using the Stadler KISS EMUs that were introduced for high-speed service.

With the full corridor now open, trains will operate according to the new timetable between Belgrade and Subotica, reducing travel times and expanding high-speed service coverage in northern Serbia.
