CLIP Intermodal has extended its cooperation with Amazon by adding more intermodal rail services between Swarzędz (PL) and Setemar Can Tunis terminal in Barcelona (ES).
The decision reflects Amazon’s logistics strategy in Europe, with the company continuing to shift part of its supply chain to rail. CLIP Intermodal is transporting what it states are the first Amazon intermodal trailers deployed in Europe, used to move freight across the corridor connecting Poland and Spain.
The route is operated under a regular intermodal setup and supports a modal shift from road to rail. According to CLIP, the emissions reduction along the Swarzędz–Barcelona route is estimated at up to 90% compared to road transport.
