Intramotev signs commercial agreement with R. J. Corman

The agreement covers the use of the battery-powered railcars in industrial switching operations.

Intramotev has signed a commercial agreement with R. J. Corman Railroad Company to deploy autonomous TugVolt railcars on the operator’s Memphis Line in Kentucky and Tennessee in the United States.

The TugVolt railcars will support switching activities on the Memphis Line, part of R. J. Corman’s network of 19 short line railroads across 11 states. The company serves all major North American railroads and employs approximately 1,400 staff across 24 states.

The agreement expands Intramotev’s portfolio of commercial deployments. The company currently operates TugVolt railcars with Carmeuse Americas and Watco, both in North American industrial applications.
