Under the terms of the agreement, Progress Rail is expected to acquire ECM4 certification, taking on maintenance tasks both in the field and at designated depots.

Beacon Rail and Progress Rail have entered a 10-year maintenance service arrangement covering a fleet of EMD JT42CWR (Class 66) locomotives operated in multiple European markets.

The plan includes running and heavy maintenance schedules at locations in Belgium and Germany, aligned with Beacon Rail’s operator network.

The arrangement also provides for OEM upgrades that are intended to support locomotive performance and reliability throughout the contract period.

This approach is anticipated to maintain steady availability for operators working with Beacon Rail’s fleet.
