The planned route will connect Katowice/Zabrze with Düsseldorf and will operate six times per week in each direction.

HELROM is preparing to introduce a new intermodal rail service between Poland and Germany from September 2025.

The service will be structured as a direct A–B connection without intermediate stops. HELROM will handle both terminal operations and rail traction in-house in Poland and Germany.

The company has designed the service to accommodate non-craneable trailers, offering an option for transport units that cannot be lifted by cranes.

According to the plan, the new intermodal line will offer six weekly departures from both Katowice/Zabrze and Düsseldorf. The service is positioned as an alternative to road transport between Poland and Germany.
