This solution could lead to higher throughput on the central corridor between Asia and Europe.

KTZ Express has conducted its first experimental shipment using double-deck container loading at the "KTZE - Khorgos Gateway" dry port. The trial covered the route from Altynkol at the Chinese border to Zhetygen near Alma-Ata and back.

The double-deck loading technique allows more cargo to be transported in a single trip, aiming to improve transportation efficiency by increasing throughput and mobility. This approach seeks to reduce logistics costs and shorten delivery times. It is a common practice in North America, Australia, as well as the Middle East.

The project was a collaborative effort involving KTZ Express, the "KTZE-Khorgos Gateway" dry port, KTZ-Freight Transportation, and ZIKSTO, which provided new wagon models adapted for double-deck container loading.
