NEWAG has signed a contract to supply four Dragon 2 DC electric locomotives to Polish freight operator CEMET.
The Dragon 2 is NEWAG’s six-axle electric locomotive platform designed for freight operations. The order will expand CEMET’s electric locomotive fleet as part of its ongoing fleet development programme.
CEMET operates rail freight services in Poland, focusing on the transport of construction materials, aggregates and industrial commodities. The company provides both domestic and cross-border services, combining rail haulage with terminal and logistics operations to serve infrastructure and building projects.
