Talbot Services has finalized the refurbishment of 35 Alstom Coradia Continental EMUs operated by NordWestBahn under lease from Alpha Trains Group. The trains remain in service on the Regio-S-Bahn Bremen/Niedersachsen network.
The refurbishment program introduced several onboard features, including Wi-Fi, 5G readiness, real-time passenger information systems, video surveillance, and energy-efficient LED lighting. Accessibility improvements were also incorporated into the updated interior layout.
The modernization process was structured to maintain operational continuity, with a prototype used to refine the conversion workflow before scaling it across the fleet. The project was completed without affecting the regular timetable.
