Rail Cargo Group has expanded its TransFER Duisburg–Scandinavia service, increasing capacity on the wagonload connection between Rheinkamp near Duisburg and Malmö to three weekly round trips.

Wagonloads are consolidated at the Rheinkamp transhipment hub before moving northbound through Padborg to Malmö, where distribution continues across Scandinavia via the regional single-wagon network.

Southbound flows from Scandinavia are handled at Rheinkamp for onward distribution within Germany and to Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and South-Eastern Europe. Freight from Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands can also be fed into the corridor at Duisburg via antenna connections.

The route runs via Passau, Nürnberg, Regensburg, Würzburg, Mainz, Köln, Rheinkamp, Marl, Münster (Westfalen), Osnabrück, Sagehorn, Buchholz, Maschen and Padborg to Malmö. The service handles freight wagons and containers in 20ft, 30ft, 40ft and 45ft formats, including consignments subject to RID regulations.
