Pacific National has opened a new freight terminal in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, integrating the facility into its national rail network.
The facility strengthens Pacific National’s presence in regional Western Australia and supports interstate freight flows across its transcontinental corridor. By linking directly into the company’s national operations, the terminal is intended to streamline train movements and reduce handling complexity.
Pacific National stated that the new site is aimed at improving service reliability and supporting supply chains in the region. The terminal is also expected to contribute to a modal shift by enabling additional freight to move by rail rather than road.
