The supervisory board of DB InfraGO has approved a major restructuring of the organisation from 1 January 2026, reducing the number of board divisions from eight to six. Several new executives have been appointed to lead key infrastructure and station-related portfolios.

The supervisory board of DB InfraGO AG, Deutsche Bahn’s infrastructure company, has agreed on a new board structure that will take effect from 1 January 2026. The reorganisation will streamline the leadership model to six board divisions instead of eight and includes several senior appointments.

Imke Kellner will become board member for the newly created Track Infrastructure (Fahrweg) division. She joined DB InfraGO in 2023 and has since led the asset and maintenance management division for the eastern region. Kellner previously held senior roles in production engineering, including plant management and executive positions.

Katja Hüske has been appointed board member for Stations (Personenbahnhöfe). She currently heads both Infrastructure Planning Principles and Infrastructure Projects North. During more than 20 years at Deutsche Bahn, she has held multiple roles at DB ProjektBau and DB Engineering & Consulting.

Hüske succeeds Ralf Thieme, who will take over the Human Resources division. Thieme previously served as head of HR at DB Station&Service AG and has worked in DB’s personnel organisation since 2002. He replaces Heinz Siegmund, who will retire at the end of the year.

Gerd-Dietrich Bolte becomes board member for Infrastructure Planning and Projects. He has worked at Deutsche Bahn since 1996 in senior roles including investment controlling, project management and CIO functions. Over the past decade, he has led major projects and infrastructure programmes in the "Region Mitte".

Philipp Nagl, CEO of DB InfraGO AG, and Jens Bergmann, CFO, will remain in their current positions.

Nagl said the restructuring aims to strengthen DB InfraGO’s ability to deliver a more reliable and efficient rail network: "We are building a better railway. This restructuring creates a leaner leadership structure, clearer responsibilities and more operational ownership in the regions." He thanked outgoing board members for their contributions to the company.
