Vossloh signs a four-year framework agreement with Deutsche Bahn's Customized Modules division. In addition to the switches, the company will continue to supply a substantial volume of switch components.

As part of a comprehensive modernisation programme, DB is currently in the process of renewal of its rail network and is building more than ever before. The aim is to expand the high-performance network and reduce infrastructure-related disruptions by 80 per cent.

Oliver Schuster, CEO of Vossloh AG, explains: "The new framework agreement for complete switches with Deutsche Bahn is a major strategic success for Vossloh. Deutsche Bahn represents the largest rail network in Europe and is of considerable importance as a globally recognized technological reference.

Stationary long-rail welding and rail logistics are also benefiting from Deutsche Bahn's modernisation projects. In view of the extensive modernisation measures planned - 40 sections of the heavily used network alone are due for general overhaul by 2030 - Vossloh expects demand in these areas to remain high in the years ahead.
