Scheduled for 16–17 March 2026 in Warsaw, the summit aims to connect decision-makers from across the sector, including wagon keepers, original equipment manufacturers, maintenance organisations and suppliers. The event focuses on exchanging practical experience and identifying solutions to current challenges in the rail freight industry.
The programme reflects several key themes shaping the sector today. Among them are the digitalisation of freight wagons, predictive maintenance using data analytics, and the use of digital twins to improve fleet reliability and reduce downtime. These technologies are increasingly seen as essential tools for improving operational efficiency and asset utilisation in rail freight.
Another major topic will be the strength of Europe’s rolling stock supply chain. Industry representatives are expected to discuss how manufacturers, maintenance providers and operators can cooperate more closely to address material shortages, rising costs and growing demand for modernised freight wagons.
The agenda will also address broader strategic issues, including interoperability between national networks, military mobility requirements and the integration of East–West freight corridors across Europe. These discussions come at a time when European logistics networks are under increasing pressure to become more resilient and flexible.
In addition to conference sessions, the event will feature an exhibition area and dedicated networking opportunities aimed at connecting operators with suppliers and technology providers. Organisers say the goal is to create a platform where companies can not only discuss industry trends but also establish new partnerships and supply chain cooperation.
The European Rolling Stock Summit is organised by Vytautas Bimba, Founder of Rolling Stock Hub and has positioned itself as a specialised meeting point for the rolling stock community, focusing particularly on freight wagons, maintenance strategies and digital innovation in rail logistics.
