The company will undergo a restructuring phase while maintaining core operations along its East–West and North–South intermodal routes.

HELROM, the operator known for its horizontal semi-trailer loading system, has entered preliminary insolvency proceedings.

As part of this process, HELROM is discontinuing routes deemed economically unsustainable. Services along selected corridors will continue without reported changes. The company has not disclosed which connections are affected or how capacity may shift in the coming period.

The restructuring aims to consolidate resources and focus on maintaining operations along corridors with consistent demand. The HELROM system allows unaccompanied semi-trailers to be horizontally loaded onto specially designed wagons without requiring crane terminals, targeting medium- to long-haul intermodal transport.

The process is now under the oversight of insolvency authorities in accordance with German legal procedure.

The company’s regular routes include connections between Western Germany and Austria, as well as North–South axes serving industrial areas with intermodal demand. Further updates will depend on the outcome of the restructuring and court decisions.
