In 2024, Škoda Group, a European manufacturer of vehicles for rail and urban zero-emission mobility, produced 432 new vehicles. These included trams, trolleybuses, trains and train coaches. The group also produced almost 3,000 motors, traction units, and other equipment.
"Our innovative strength is confirmed by battery trains, a smart depot in Tampere, automatic train operation for Latvia and an anti-collision system for trams," says Petr Novotný, CEO of Škoda Group.
Last year's contracts include e.g. the production of 15 battery trains for České dráhy, the delivery of electric train units to Bulgaria (including a 15-year full-service agreement), the first collaboration with private railway operator RegioJet on the production of new electric trains, option agreements for trams in Brno and Tampere, Finland, and orders for trolleybuses in three large Czech cities.
