The double-decker NIM Express trains operating on the Nuremberg–Munich route will undergo a general overhaul starting in the third quarter of 2025.
The maintenance work is scheduled to take place at Škoda Group’s Šumperk facility, where the trains will receive technical updates and servicing aimed at maintaining operational reliability. The scope of work will cover various systems and components, with the goal of ensuring continued service performance.
The overhaul program will run until August 2028. The NIM Express trains are part of DB Regio’s regional fleet, designed for high-capacity routes with frequent passenger demand.
