The agreement covers bulk china clay flows from local rail-connected sites in the South West of England.

GB Railfreight gets a two-year contract to haul kaolin for Imerys from Cornwall to Fowey Docks and Cliffe Vale in Staffordshire.

The traffic links Cornish production sites with export volumes via Fowey and inland distribution in the West Midlands. China clay remains one of the region’s core rail freight commodities, with long-established flows to port and processing facilities.

The contract reinforces GBRf’s position in the Southwest bulk market, where it also operates seasonal railhead treatment trains to support network adhesion during autumn.
