The shuttle operates three times per week, with plans to increase to five rotations in the coming months.

Railsider has started a new Door2Rail rail service for steel products between Sagunto industrial and port hub with the Barcelona logistics area, using Railsider’s own terminals at both ends. Rail traction is provided by Medway on the Mediterranean Corridor.

Door2Rail combines road collection at origin, rail transport between terminals and final road delivery at destination. Transit time is approximately 24 hours under a fixed-price structure.

The service targets steel producers and processors with regular high-volume flows between the Valencia region and Catalonia. By structuring the operation as a scheduled shuttle, Railsider is adding dedicated rail capacity for steel logistics on the Mediterranean Corridor.

Sagunto is one of the main steel and port clusters on Spain’s eastern seaboard, while the Barcelona area concentrates processing, distribution and export flows.
