The Adriatic Express will again connect Poland and Czechia with the Adriatic coast in summer 2026, adding a direct coach to Koper alongside Rijeka.

The Adriatic Express will return for the 2026 summer season, linking Warsaw, Czechia and the Adriatic coast with direct overnight rail services to Croatia and Slovenia.

The train, operated by PKP Intercity in cooperation with České dráhy (ČD), the Czech national railway carrier, will run from 26 June to 31 August 2026. ČD will provide operation and onboard staff on Czech territory.

For Czech passengers, the service offers a direct seasonal connection to the sea without changing trains. In 2026, the Adriatic Express will again serve Rijeka in Croatia and will newly include a direct coach to Koper, Slovenia’s Adriatic port city. The Koper coach will be detached in Ljubljana and continue separately to its destination.

In Czechia, the train will stop at Bohumín, Ostrava, Ostrava-Svinov, Hranice na Moravě, Přerov, Otrokovice, Staré Město u Uherského Hradiště, Hodonín and Břeclav.

The service will operate six times per week and include overnight accommodation, with one couchette coach to and from Rijeka, two second-class coaches to Rijeka and one second-class coach to Koper. Between Warsaw and Vienna, the Adriatic Express will run together with the IC/EC Sobieski service.

The return of the train continues the cooperation between PKP Intercity and ČD on international seasonal services, while also strengthening north–south leisure rail links between Poland, Czechia and the Adriatic region.
