This morning in Prague at the Balabenka junction, a collision occurred between a CityElefant electric multiple unit 471 of České dráhy and a diesel multiple unit 813 operated by KŽC Doprava.

According to sources from Zdopravy.cz, the trainee driver of the KŽC Doprava train passed a signal at danger and collided with the rear of the ČD CityElefant unit.

Reports indicate varying numbers of injuries, with emergency services stating between 6 to 15 people affected. The injuries are reported to be minor, including abrasions and bruises.

Approximately 200 passengers were evacuated because of the collision. The accident has disrupted operations on one of Prague's busiest railway sections, affecting routes from Vysočany to the main and Masaryk stations, as well as between Holešovice and the main station.

The route connecting Vysočany with main and Masaryk station was reopened at 9:20.
